My name is Andrew Ford, but most folks call me Drew. If you have known me long enough, you might know me better as Andy. I have worked in the website development industry off and on in different ways since 1997. It remains to be a current interest of mine though it is not my full-time gig. This current incarnation involves being the owner/operator of a small businesses called Website by Drew. Website by Drew has been in existence since January of 2006, and remains a good option for those budget-minded folks seeking a website.
My other past experience with web design involves working as part of a Website Development and Research team at Dakota State University. While working at Gateway (Gateway 2000 till they dropped the 2k) I was fortunate enough to be the Team Pages Webmaster on every team of which I was a member. While that little tidbit sounds prestigious, it really wasn't. You were simply required to take a basic HTML class (which I would have better suited to teach), and snap some pictures of your teammates. Simple, no?
I didn't really get my big break until I took over as Lead Website Developer for The Stratton Group in Sioux Falls. This, unfortunately, was a short-lived tenure due to some complications in my personal life. It did, however, manage to really whet my appetite for the backend aspect of the game (database design and programming). That allowed me to be a strong member of the team at Web@ttitudes, inc. of which I was also a co-founder. At Web@ttitudes I was truly allowed to shine in the backend work with a great guy heading up the graphics front (Thanks Kevin!!). While some changes in my personal life left me needing to part ways with Web@ttitudes, I will forever take the experience with me.
Now life with Website by Drew keeps me entertained in my off hours. Originally started as a parent company for a few pet projects I was working on, Website by Drew has continued to grow. We offer full-blown, highly functional website solutions for those folks that can't afford to take their website business to a “big house” marketing firm.
Check Website by Drew out.
Thanks,
Drew
